Team logo settings
Your team logo appears on messages and pages your recipients see, such as signature request emails and public template forms. Subnoto keeps the same shape as your original file. We do not squash wide logos into squares or stretch tall logos sideways.
Where your logo appears
Section titled “Where your logo appears”| Place | What recipients see |
|---|---|
| Emails | Your logo at the top of invitation, reminder, and notification emails |
| Email preview | The live preview in team settings while you configure colors |
| Self-service signature forms | The public intake page your team shares so others can request a signature |
| Signing experience | Branded areas when your plan includes custom team branding |
If no logo is uploaded, Subnoto shows its own branding instead.
Choose a logo that looks good
Section titled “Choose a logo that looks good”Think of the logo area like a wide banner at the top of an email, not a square profile picture.
| Logo shape | How it usually looks |
|---|---|
| Wide and horizontal (company name beside or under a small icon) | Best fit. Clear and easy to read |
| Square (icon only) | Works. Appears smaller because we keep the square shape |
| Tall or vertical (stacked text, portrait layout) | Works, but may look small. A horizontal version often reads better |
How Subnoto sizes your logo
Section titled “How Subnoto sizes your logo”You do not need to resize the file yourself. After upload, Subnoto:
- Keeps your proportions - a wide logo stays wide; a tall logo stays tall
- Fits within a maximum space - so logos stay readable on phones and in email apps
- Never stretches or squashes the image to force a fixed box
Very large files are reduced automatically so they load quickly, without changing the shape.
File requirements
Section titled “File requirements”| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Formats | PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF |
| Maximum size | 2 MB |
| Not supported | SVG |
| Background | Transparent PNG works well on colored email backgrounds |

Practical tips
Section titled “Practical tips”- Export a horizontal version from your brand kit if your main logo file is square or very tall
- Leave a little empty space around the logo in the image file so it does not feel cramped
- Use a solid or transparent background that works on both white and lightly tinted email backgrounds
- Re-upload after a rebrand so new emails use the updated file
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Try the following:
- Upload a wider, horizontal version of your logo if you currently use a square or tall file
- Reduce empty padding inside the image file so the mark itself fills more of the picture
- Check the email preview in team settings to compare before and after
Expected behavior:
- Subnoto should always keep the same shape as your uploaded file
- If an older email looks wrong, upload the logo again so new messages use the latest display settings
- Confirm you are not viewing a cached copy of a previous version
Check the following:
- Your team plan must include Custom team branding
- Only team administrators can open Configuration and change team settings
- See Team roles if you need administrator access
Summary: Upload a wide, horizontal logo in Settings → Configuration → Customization. Subnoto keeps your logo’s shape on emails and signing experiences. Use the on-page preview to check the result before sending requests.
